The Citrix NetScaler license is installed in the appliance. To redeem your Citrix NetScaler license (release 8.0 and later), you will need the MAC address of the appliance. To obtain the MAC address, perform the following actions:

1. Upgrade your appliance to Citrix NetScaler 8.0 (or later) and log onto the appliance. At the command prompt, type “shell” (no quotes).
2. At the appliance, type “lmutil lmhostid -ether” (no quotes). The MAC address is displayed and is formatted as: 00c095ca0909.
3. To redeem the appliance license, type the MAC address into the “Hostname” field (do not use the MAC address provided above).
4. At the appliance, type “exit” (no quotes). You are returned to the appliance command line.
